Carden Aircraft Update - Passing the Torch

This just in from the Carden Aircraft team...

Carden Aircraft Press Release December 1, 2019

Carden Aircraft has been the leader in Giant Scale Aerobatic Aircraft for most of the last 30 years. We feel fortunate to have made so many friends throughout the hobby and industry over the years. We are also fortunate to have maintained a solid customer base through our quality line of kits, wing bags, and accessories. Thanks to every one of you for your support and friendship. We could not have done it without you!

Caroline and I finally decided to retire at 70 and enjoy life outside of the hobby industry. We want to assure all of our customers that the Carden Aircraft line will continue. We are passing the torch to a solid, reliable company that will continue to produce our aircraft and wing bags with the same standards that we have stood by for so many years.

We are very pleased to announce that the new owner, manufacturer, and distributor for the line of aircraft and wing bags will be KONISHI MOKEI CO., LTD., and DeeForce Aviation. They are a very special and reputable company with the same quality standards that we've had as our cornerstone since the very beginning.

Thanks again for your support, friendship and fond memories. Hope to see you at an RC event soon.

I head about this just before the announcement, by accident. The composite part supplier for Carden all these years was DCU, Inc. DCU moved to north Texas from SoCal about 20 years ago. DCU is a major composite parts supplier for my shop.

I was at DCU’s shop in Wylie TX on Dec 2 and saw a pallet with all the Carden composite molds piled up on it. The owner mention that they had retired and passed the torch and the molds were being packed and were heading off to the new owners.
