Looking for some advice modding my Creality CR-10S

I am pretty new to the 3D Printing and I fear that I am getting a little bit carried away. I wish to make it a little bit safer - that includes building in mosfets for the bed and the hotend. I figured that it would be better to put it all in a box with a little bit more place, I am rather irritated by the stock control box and the cables.

So I ordered a 19 inch rack box 2 HE high and plan to put it all in - it is made of ABS, so I think I can drill holes easily and print the necessary brackets and stuff.

At the same time I got the idea of updating the board to a 32bit one, which should make it all the more silent and this is where it gets kinky.
I think SKR v1.3 is the most common one, somebody was recommending to steer clear of it though (naming no specific reasons). I am, however, looking at the SKR Pro v.1.1 now. I see lots of different brands in amazon and so on Bigtreetech, Biqu, PoPrint and Kingprint - is it all the same? (All the pictures look the same and say bigtreetech on the board)?

I plan to put TMC2209 drivers on it. There would be the bigtreetech ones and in some German discussions there is a strong preference for Watterott ones? Does it make a difference, will I get any of them to work?

Also there was a mention of the extruder acting up with TMC2209 with "linear something".

Can I still get the 2209 hardware and just compile it with something else for extruder?

The SKR 1.3 is probably the best supported 32 bit board on Marlin currently. The SKR Pro is getting there but it's not quite there yet.
There is also an SKR 1.4 that just came out. It's similar to the 1.3 with some of the 1.3 issues resolved, but being new there are still some kinks to be worked out.

I use 5 of the Bigtreetech TMC2209 drivers and they work well - specially if you're using the SKR 1.3 using the BTT 2209s makes it almost plug-and-play. So I don't think you'll be disappointed if you get the SKR 1.3 and the Bigtreetech 2209s.
