FYI
My Connie weighs 16.5# uses (1) 3S-8000 pack and each motor produces 342watts. It has good power and flies at 1/2 throttle without flaps. This plane is very easy to fly and land, one of the best I’ve flown.

Hello Tony, I have decided to change out my power system and Very interested as to what type /brand motors,ESC's and propellers that you successfully used on your Sarik Hobbies 88" Constellation. Thanks. Here is a picture of my Constellation with the TWA wing graphic now applied.

I'm presenting assembling and painting a plastic model of the a DC-8 Super 62 in UNITED AIRLINES livery. And considering buying another plastic model of an earlier version, which I first plan to trace the profiles for possible use drawing a simple light in weight electric Ducted fan model.

The Connie, DC6 and DC8 are looking great. I hear that multi engine rumble getting closer.

Thanks cornj, a couple more questions if you please. My Connie is equipt with Leopard LC2835-1038KV 8T. I am wondering what's the difference between your LC2835 7T s? I have been in touch with Altitude Hobbies so I can quiz them . Also you stated Master Airscrew 9x7 , got you on the reverse rotation, but what number of blades right now I have the MAS 9x7 3 blade. Well I do appreciate your input And one other question: what voltage is the ZIPPY 3S-8000 pack that you used in your Lockheed Constellation? Thanks for your input it is greatly appreciated.

Sorry MA 9x7-3 blade props
The 3528-7 has a higher kv, the 3528-8 is 1038kv. The 3528-8 should swing a bigger prop like MA 10x7 3-blade prop. I would test the 9x7 and the 10x7 to see what works best. The weight of your plane RTF is important here, if around 14# the motors you have should work good on a 3 cell pack. I would use 3000 to 4000 3 cell per side, why I use one pack at 8000.

The 3S-8000 pack is 3 cell around 12 volts.

. Hi Tony , today I went to buy a ZIPPY 3S-8000 3 cell at around 12 volts and what I found was a confusing array of batteries. Will You please send me a link for the battery used in your Constellation. I weighed my Constellation less batteries bits Under 10 pounds on a not so accurate bath scale with me standing on it reading 180 and then approx 10 lbs More while holding my Constellation With Out any batteries. Your help and assistance is greatly appreciated.

This is what I use https://hobbyking.com/en_us/zippy-co...with-xt90.html
The above is not in stock, could use (2) of these in parallel https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-...ucts_analytics
If your Connie is at 10# without battery than with the above 8000 battery it would be RTF weight of 11.5#. That is lite and my guess the 9x6 props will be more than enough to fly your plane. My plane flies great with almost same motors and 9x6s at 16.5#. My Connie has 80watts per pound, and flies at 1/2 throttle.

Good luck with your 1st flight and be prepared for all the interest about your plane at the field.
