I know it wasn't released for sale until last week but it was 100% a EF 70 inch extra V2. There are some that get out there for testing and feedback. Nothing shady going on. Kind of like how Jeff has had a muscle bype for a long time now.

3DHS V1 74" Edge was 10.66 lbs with the heavy A60 Hacker on 12S 3300mAh.

![]() ![]() I know they will pull a 18x6 very well, which is probably a better choice on this size plane. An os definitely needs a muffler change though . To bad there isn't a quality 2x cc engine that isn't rail mount |

I ran one for a while an yes it was quiet but it struggled on 17x7 an very little pulled out on an 8lb plane. I've also flow one on an 8.5 lb plane that had great power. But it was an aftermarket open chamber muffler. A bcp would probably wake it up even more. Stock muffler is also very heavy |

For me, the bottom line here is that the original 70" was a well liked airframe that a few of us thought was just slightly under powered with a 6S setup. Now that most of us have been flying 12S packs in 10.7 to 11.5 pounds for a while now and to get a 12S crack at the 70 EXP is a gift, IMO. It's a very nice size and stood up pretty evenly against the 78" (78" x 76").
I'm going to try to get one soon, put a 12S setup in it and try a 19x10 and a 20x8 on it and make a decision. With the 74" Edge, the 20x8 was a lot of fun and I could very well end up there again. The V1 was 88 ounces out of the box so 10.53 lbs with something like the DM4330-216, a Castle Edge HV80, 2x 6S 3300mAh batts, a 2S 2100mAh Rx battery, and 4x 62g Savox SC-1268. This is a 3100W setup with super strong 347 oz-in on 7.4v servos. Save 61g by going with s BEC Pro instead of the 2S battery and still save 21g by adding the U-Guard or Pulse Ultra Defender as a backup. If the new 70" is lighter, then great. But I'm fine with 10.5 lbs. |

I have been out of the electric 3D world for a while now- anybody have a motor suggestion if I were to run 8s? Thanks.

Chris,
That looks like with dinogy 3700s at 507g each I'd be adding just about 2.25 pounds. With other associated stuff like a 1500mah lipo for the Rx, I'd be just over 10.5 pounds AUW. Which servos do you have in yours? The video SupaTim posted looks like it has great pull out from hover and fantastic speed. I'd like to know what you think of using the 20X8 prop with the Xpwr 30 for flying like Tim does? |
