My 2nd. electric aircraft. help needed

I am working on an ARf that has very poor instructions and I am tring to figure out what Power system to put in it that would work the best.

The airframe is a pusher configuration called a Sky Arrow by Hacker. The max prop size appears to be about 6 inches. The box states the following

Motor : 280 to 400 size motor.
WS : 1080mm (41 11/16)
Length: 780mm (30 11/16)
Weight 400-500g I believe this is around 14 to 17.5 oz.

I want to fly this aircraft with floats later on so I need the most power possible. I'm sure this weight is without any electronics installed like servos or reciever. I plan on using a Hitec 555, 3 HS-51 servos as well as the appropiate CC speed controller, I would also like to use Li-po batteries to get the best power for the lowest weight. I would like to hear what would be a good motor, battery, speed controller configuration for this. Also are there better receivers available that would reduce the weight. Thanks in advance for your help. Jon

This one?

from the weight & the size, id say a GWS 350c-C motor & gearbox, a 0970 prop, CCpixie 20 speedo and 2cells ~1500mah lipo

Stick a Himax 2025-5200 brushless motor in the above gearbox and a CC pheonix25 speedo for a kick in the pants.

wait- it looks like a 9" prop is too big. Ok, then use the above motors direct drive.
the 0630 or 0543 prop looks good.

I think I would go for the maximum power possible and probably forget a gear box as it may make the mounting a bit of a pain.

LIPOS certainly and if you get 3s LIPO of about 2200 capacity, then you can either for a permax or Graupner 7.2v 400 motor, or a permax 480 'long can 400'

Gunther prop or APC 5.5x4.5 shoudl sort it all out prop wise.

Frankly I think it will only need a 400.
If money no obvject a mega 16/15/5 or thereabouts would slot on and give as much power as the 480, but weight in like the 400.
