I have two Spektrum Audio Programming Cables. One is the SPMA3080 and the other is the SPMA3081. I have no idea what the difference is, but either one can be used to program the Spektrum DXe transmitter.
These cables will plug into the connector on the back of the DXe and, also into the headphone jack on cell phones.

Free programming and update software is available from Spektrum and the App Store on cell phones.

I tried to program a DXe using Iphone and android and it did not work...
USB adapter works the best on a PC...not sure about bluetooth adapter other than bluetooth only works with mobile devices by design.

I no longer have a DXe, but when I did, the cables worked fine.
