I would suggest for temperature because mid to make a simple bonus table and give bonus points out for temperature. It shouldn’t be an overwhelming deciding factor.

25-20 = 10
20-15 = 15

Etc

I made a form on our F3RES website.

Check it out:
https://www.f3res.nl/f3res-wedstrijdkalender/vcr/

The competition can start!
I have to make the formule tot calculatie the eindScore, this Comes in time. Untill that you have to calculate the endscore yourself

Suggestions still welcome.

I need a bit of clarification.
Can a solo pilot time himself or is another timer required? Or is that "Name of Coach" on the form?
Is it the best of 5 flights(rounds) that is submitted?
What is the flight task time, 4:30 (mentioned on page 1) or 6:00? (Disregard, I see that was just an example used)
What is the landing tape length, 5 meters? And is it marked as described on page 1 of this thread?
Is the score just flight time in seconds+ landing points?
Is the temperature added or subtracted from the score? (I THINK the total score is divided by the temperature factor? Is that temperature factor according to the scale listed in post #17?)

I'm looking at the two scores listed on that website and not making sense of them. Particularly the "End Score" box.

Also looking at this from post # 3

Quote:
Example:
Flying 4min30sec with landing on goal=
270x2+100= 640 points

Temp= 4°C
Highest Temp of competitors 20°C
640/(20-4)=40 points
Why is the 270(4:30) flight time doubled? And if doubled, and then 100 landing points added, should that not be a score of 740?
Just trying to understand.

Crashbound, we are mostly brainstorming ideas, nothing is set jet.

I think it would be nice if this had more of an event feeling to it, so maybe it take place during a specific time window ( every year during the first week of november, for example) and it also would be better if there was a minimum of x number pilot/ witness to consider an enter valid, and to make it a bit more social, without being very formal.

about the time being doubled I think it comes from the original f3res rules. I attached a recent english translation I found in an other thread. this should be the starting point and then the challenge is to adjust for different weathers, that is when temperature comes in.

Ok, it's just a simpel test-site.
Flying is according the F3RES rules.
So: FlightTime in seconds x 2.
Landing points according the German F3J landing points.

The temperature is Just a bonus, the colder it gets the less points will be deducted. Only hero's fly below zero .

I consider to register only the total scoreresults of the 5 rounds per pilot.

The name of coach is, indeed, the person whom is taking the time.

Ok, to make the competition smart:

The starting periode of this worldwide event is from december till april.
Once a month you fly 5 rounds on one day.
For that i'll make a excelsheet with scoring-form.
After your game, you registrate on the website.
Every month there will be a winner and is for the eternal fame .

I hope this makes a great event with many participaters.
But for all, the most important thing, have fun!!

Today a wonderful day to train. The temperature indicated 6 ° C but it felt colder, luckily there was one strip of sun on our field, which made it a bit more pleasant. Some starts went well and you can tell by the time. The final flight was perfect with even thermal activities. All in all nice flying today.

The first attempts are made. No results jet.

There was a remark how much attempts the competition may taken. I say: unlimitted, the best result is counting.

Greetings
Willem

I tested my RESi (Claus Thiele Modellbau Germany) in Spain yesterday.
Great flying here with enough thermals.
Flew two rounds of +/- 30 minutes.
Hoping to fly the 5 rounds before the end of this year.
