Thread OP
The fans are pulling 50a each one, I haven't bought the batteries yet i think i can consider 5s.
The expeted weight
is around 1700g this give a 0.8 to 1 thrusth to weight ratio, 1200w total

a little bit heavier than a 4500 4s pack (by about 150g) but it'll give you a fair bit of extra oomph

or if you're really concerned about weight:
its only 40-50g heavier than most HK 4500 4s packs

however given the size of this model even with 4000mah packs, i think you'd easily still see 4min flights, i don't think at cruising power you'll use that much power.

i just googled the setup your using... its claiming 1250g of thrust each... you are a long way down on that.... seems odd... fair enough i wouldn't expect the full 1250, but 1000g seems reasonable

Thank you for help
I have to consider 5s for sure, because i was expecting something around 1000g too. When i test the fan out of the plane with intake lip they both made 49A and 650 w ca so close to what declared. Before blaiming the intake system i will check the measurement system. I don't know if the use of two old rc car packs in series to make 4s can also play a role.

ok they definitely play a role in performance, i tried only one motor a time and the thrust reaches 900g for each fan, with batteries to 80%. I wouldn't believe that some years of modified touring car would cause this weakness. ok so probably I have to go with high C batteries,
Thank you for brainstorming XCSEDAN

ok its definitely got dead packs then... i reckon the fans will make more power when on a new pack.
try ordering some high quality high performance 4s packs, and i think you will be absolutely fine, i think you'll pull over 900g.

these are only 20g heaving than 4500 nanotechs and you'll get serious performance and an additional 500mah to play with

or if you really wanna go light they do the 4000mah version. (which will save you 50 or so grams)
depending how the batteries were treated charged and discharged will have massive impacts on their total life... i got stung pretty hard with some packs that should have been good but i left on a shelf for a little too long without cycling, and it hurt their long term performance, after cycling them 5 times they came back to about 80% but eh... they're just spare packs now...

sounds like theres no point with 5s, just stick to 4s 5s would put the amps through the roof i feel (with new packs)
and no worries mate, more than welcome
me personally, i would get the 4s 5000mah 70c G2 dinogy packs and be done with it, or 2x Dinogy 2200 4s G2 70c and run the motors off their own packs if its more conveiniant.

Busy times but not on planes unfortunately, some updates for the gear structures that was too weak and probably not able to handle landing, now the structure is more of solid balsa wood than in foam.
Hope to fly in january, still a lot to do.

wow it will be a real monster.
Here are the plans I work with if you want to study them, I wish to make some little modifications I found necessary but I have no time right now unfortunately.
