Question

What Are You Building This Winter?

I'm taking some of my F3J wings and electrifying them. Anyone else doing a nice project they are excited about?

Practice - K.I.S.S.

is putting together a Module Built Kit, Building

or we talking a box of lumber

No matter it's all good , start now, by the spring you'll be ready for paint on the Fuselage.

5 months of winter, hrs for Building.

There's help here when you stumble, built straight.

Use weldbond , so clean

Check the For sale section, box of lumber comes up often,

ask your flying buddies, some have a stash, that is repairable.

On the RC side, I should probably finish the Chrysalis 2M I started a few years back.

As far as exciting, I also have two variations of the Sinbad (the old Henry Struck design). One is the Sinbad 40, the other is a 50 percent enlargement of the Super Sinbad, which I think comes to 93 inches. Probably free flight or display for the first and RC for the second. A Sinbad has been on my bucket list since I was a kid.

Then there's putting a new wing on my DLG and/or putting together one I've had in a box for too long.

Then there's lots of repairs for RC and free flight models. Maybe I shouldn't bother fixing the big ones? And I should build a couple of free flight models.

If I get even a fraction of the above finished, I'll be pleased.

I have the plans for the Osprey 900/1000 on the drafting board making a copy to save the plans.

Going to copy this one as best I can with both wings . . . Hope you like them Dad.

"whacker - No one builds any more" . . . makes me proud to part of the "no one" click ;>)

Well I hope to get AnotherMansJunk flying this winter. It's an older Tragi Cluster 801. I had to do a wing repair, replace one flap servo. Currently I'm struggling to get Mike Shellims F3J/TD template working and not having a lot of luck. I bought an electric fuselage from Curtis Suter for this plane and finally got it in the air yesterday. Very pleased.

May build another 2m Yellow Jacket for F3-RES next year, dunno. I DO know I'm holding off for now with another large build or another wing for the 3.5 m Yellow Jacket. I'd like a RES/TD line launch plane but holding off for now, waiting to see where "you know what" goes.

I hope to finish my Oly3 (having real trouble getting up for this one) and my K3600. I also need to finish up my line launch Yellow Jacket fuse. Plenty to do. OK Matt and Whacker, I'll get busy!
