Please Mr. Lin

With all the fantastic products you manufacture, there is one thing missing....... realistic looking wheels for your scale models.
The ones you do make are great, but look funny on the Tiger Moth and Zero.
What would be great are foam wheels with plastic spoked hubs, fitting small axles. The design being similar to what most real aircraft use. Sizes : 3/4" to 2"
Not to criticize, only to suggest.
Thanks

Those are nice for WWI, but for WWII or newer planes, the DuBro micro wheels are very nice!

MM,

Yeah, they're great, but not for a Zero.

I bought some of the 2 3/4" ones from Hobby Lobby for my Bleriot and Antoinette.

The only problem with them is that they're extremely heavy as supplied. The 2 3/4" ones weigh 10.4 grams each. The good part is that 7.4g of that is the tire. I replaced the tires with cylindrical fishing lure foam and the complete wheels are now 4.7g ea.

I think the appearance and workmanship is excellent. Here's a closer view showing construction.

I would think WWII as your current and future offerings (that we know about) are from just before WWII and later.

I have a pair of the 1.5 inch DuBros as shown in Fred's post on my TM right now. I'd love some slightly larger than that which are as light and with typical good GWS pricing.

Hi Spinnetti,

Yep, that's my 22". Needless to say, I absolutely love it. I got it last Spring after the price dropped from $4K to 3K. Now they're $2,500. Pretty soon they'll be cheap enough that you don't need to be nuts to buy one.
I see they now have a 23". There's always something to lust after.

Glad you liked Homer. Watch out! He crashed my Stearman, the guy's nuts. Calvin and Hobbs are courtesy of basketcase.

JEEZ Fred You're not gtting in the spirit of this thing....GWS4CEO wants to get the wheels made FAST. You don't need wheels anyway, and you already have too many planes as is. Need a TigerShark? Best Regards

What we need.

Wheels that that were used on everything from the 30's to present, including the Tiger Moth, spoke wheels similar to bicycle wheels are for the older stuff. The Dubro micro wheels are ugly, plain hubs and flat sided, the rest of their products are excellent.
