RC VIDEO ADDICT!

New Hacker 20-20L WOW!

Anyone out there have experience with this one? I tried it this morning and it seems to have a HUGE amount of power! I'm using a cc25 speed controller and a tp 1320 3cell pack. 10-4.7 apc sf prop on a 16 oz tiburon bipe. OH MY DOES IT HAVE POWER! Only got to fly a couple of minutes so I'm not sure about flight time yet.

Anyone else have success with this setup?

What are the best setting for the motor on the cc25?

Is the tp 1320 enough battery to handle the current this motor wants?

Very promissing little motor if it works as long as my axi has. Much more power for sure.

I am using the axi 2212-34. It has been a great motor for me. I purchase a geardrive for a second plane and decided that was not the way to go and so now the Hacker is my second outrunner. Very nice motor also and for 70 bucks you get it all. Mount, 3 axles, etc...

Craig, picked up same 20-20l at the WRAM show last week. Due to weather I did not get a chance to flight test until this AM. Same as you. I am running the same prop but, my battery pack is a 3s tp2100 gen II. Static current on bench is 21A. This motor is taking in 210-220watts as opposed to the Axi 2212-34 which is about 110w. Twice the power and same weight, but smaller prop and twice the current load. I have mine in a NSP Mamba in at 19 oz. Very impressed with this motor and a much better value than the Axi 22 series motors.

As for settings IIRC ľAuto Lipo detection/cutoff, Hard start, soft cutoff, no brake, insensative current.

So, is the TP 1320 ok to use with this motor? Run times?

A tp1320 pack is good for 10-12c which would be 13-15A not 21-22A. You are going to have to use very good throttle management or risk killing the pack.

I also have this motor in an Ultimate EPP Bipe from NESail. I am VERY impressed! Unlimited vertical. 10x4.7 prop. Tanic Pack 1550 and 2220 3s. I show 18-19 amps at wot. 178 watts. The AUW is 18oz with 2220 pack, 16.4 with 1550. Hovers at just over half throttle.

Remember, though, that an Axi 2212/34 has a kv of around 750, while the hacker A20-20L has a kv of 1022. I think a more fitting comparison would be to the Axi 2212/20, which has a kv of 1190, although it's still only rated at 16 amps.

Just out of curiosity, what kind of sound do these Hackers make as they are flying around?

Ok, I love the motor. Got to fly it for a bit this afternoon again. Only 5 minutes because of time restraint so I'm not sure how long the flight time would be. If I need to order a good pack, who has the best out there as far as current capabilities?

Sound? What sound? Is it supposed to make a sound?

I am not comparing the motors, just stated what they are good for. Trade off. I know the kv are not the same but I also know you would be hard pressed to turn a 10x4.7 prop with an Axi 2212-20. I have flown both the 34 axi and the Hacker in the same plane and there is no comparison as far as performance, but I like slow big props for 3d which the Axi will turn on 3s but the Hacker will not. I imagine there is another Hacker wind that will though. For the same price as the Axi 2212 series I am getting the power levels of the 2808-24 Axi plus the goodies and will turn the same props at roughly the same current levels. Don't kmow about rpms cause I have no tach.

Have you guys tried the 12x3.8 or 12x4.7 on the 2212/34? Should put you into the teens, current wise, for power that approaches the hotter wound Hacker on 10x4.7.
