I have been holding onto my grandfather’s retirement metal lathe. It’s a well built small old piece. I’d planned on using it in my shop one day, but who’d thought I wind up in a machine shop for a living like he did.

I think it’s time to let it go

It’s here in Southern California

I’ve got it buried under some boxes in the back of my storage shed

This one looks like mine. Mine is a lot cleaner and it has a proper wooden stand as well as the belt cover missing on the one on ebay

I was going to send you a P/M but it would not let me. That lathe is to big, I started out with one just like that 40 years ago, have had many others over the years. They are very simple and easy to run, are very old but will still get the job done. I am 70 years old and will be moving to a place that I can not have a full size lathe and mill. I am looking for something along the lines of a Sherline or Tiag, very small bench lathe.
