Good call Ken and nice flying and thanks for being CD, and despite not having a lot of people it was one of the more smoother run events we had, everybody was helping. Mehrdad flew very well and congratulations. Honorable mention goes to Mart, he flew very well today and to be honest I was kind of thinking he was going to kick my ass today. Can't wait for next year!

Congrats to podium finishers as well as the rest of us who showed up to help out when and where needed
It wasn’t the best conditions, but better than getting skunked!
It was quite literally an thermal lottery.
Sometimes ya got lucky, other times it sucked!
Still had a great time, even though my adrenaline fix was not ever satisfied 😎

Congratulations to Mehrdad, Ken, and Miguel!
It was an unusual day at the Slot but they figured out how to fly fast in varying conditions.
A look at the score sheet shows everyone had a fast time or two. I hope that means everyone had a great day, I did!

Ken’s call to switch to Saturday was spot on. Great job making it fun for all of us kids.

And we lucked out having enough pilots to go for it.

What a season closer it was. Wow wow wow!!! Just look at everyone’s scores… everybody flew at such a very high level. All pilot scores compressed between 94 and 100 percent, shows how close scores ended up. That is incredible and a testament of huge improvement over the season.

Conditions were shifting within as well across rounds. Race was flown 2up format in what seemed like mostly sinky conditions with some little thermals thrown in far and few at best. The SLoT casino’s gaming preference was Thermal Lottery apparently.

At times Ken and I had course runs with 20+ second delta between two back-to-back rounds. We both got pounded on a few rounds with throw outs scores in 600 range. Given how tight we were and exchanging leads back and forth, it could have gone either way with luck of the air draw by time that was declared at pilot's meeting.

Everyone got 1000 point round wins except Miguel. This needs highlighting as he flew very well in fact. Look at his round scores, he flew consistent all day. Smooth and clean in shifty conditions that were difficult to discern if a setup, line, or turn style changes were helping or not. He flies at the coast mostly so just super awesome to see him take on the SLoT course so well so fast.

Even with several rounds of sink Mike got the old Ceres going real good.

Bill put up solid flights with his old Precision and bested his past ranking again. Btw, other than being one nicest guys he is a well rounded soaring pilot in to slope soaring he flies DLGs and open to trying to new disciplines. Earlier this month he attended his first Fall Soaring Festival at Visalia... literally his second time to ever launch on a winch. He managed some great launches and duration flights, besting folks who have been FSF for years. Keep an eye on him.

Vance flew his Shinto with authority, he had an unfortunate early landing (DNF) however bounced back from that put up more good runs. Next season is going to be so fun,

And Mr. Falarski, he brought it yesterday. When he got a patch of air he put it to good use and pounded rest of us with the fastest run of day. He made the 43.xx look easy and it wasn't just the thermal... he did not cut and keep it tight for that run. Note how consistent he flew the rest of his rounds.

Congrats to all pilots.

We missed a bunch other pilots of for this one. Hoping more join the fun next season.

Final NorCal F3F (coastal) race for this season is scheduled for next Sunday 10/27.
