Sig Hummer Kit

hello RCG !
I am dabbling in nostalgia from my past ! When I started in RC , the Sig Hummer was the second model I built and flew on an 049 .
Fast forward , they are selling these on ebay for $49.00 delivered so I simply could not pass this deal up !
I have not converted anything this small to electric rc .
Does anyone have any suggestions on a power /battery system ?
Thanks for the help !

In the airplanes I have built that were that size I used a 400 or 450 size motor, a 20 amp E S C and a 1300 battery. John

Any 400 class motor will work 3s or 4s it all depends on if your trying to go fast and have crazy power or just a fun fly with good power. Anything from 400 watts will work.

I even have one of these motors in my possession, possibly can use it considering I have it geared .
I would have to test different props .

Waiting for my power set up.
I changed a few things in the build sequence and still adding color ect.
I order larger light weight wheels and may use a magnetic hatch vs the stock set up.

I used a e-Flite Park 450 motor and it works very well. I use a 1600mah 3S battery in the stock hatch location. It makes the plane a little nose heavy, I needed to add about 1/2 oz at the tail.

I also added a rudder, which makes it like a little pattern plane now!

Thanks , it been a fun clean build .
I ordered a motor based on some advice from another thread.
I almost added rudder, now thinking back I wish I did ! I wanted something for ROG take off and without rudder it will be difficult.
Based on another thread I went with smaller power option higher KV , probably test a 6x4 thru 7x5 type props and see what the watt meter tells me
