ME-262 My First EPP Build

In an effort to bring some fresh meat to the table instead of my usual mayhem.... I'll be attempting to build an ME-262 out of packing material. This ship will be very close to scale, not a sportwing, and will feature nacelles. If all goes well, she'll be a gorgeous plane!!!

The plans for this beast were furnished by whom I consider to be the "Shiznit of PSS Designers"!!! I probably couldve said that more appropriately, however I didnt!!!

The following specifications will be targeted:

1/10th Scale
52" Wingspan
42" Length
50 - 60 Ounces

Ive never worked with EPP or any of the associated materials before, I will defininately need help on this from time to time, and I welcome all comments and suggestions. Progress will be slow, and I hope you enjoy!!

Kevin

First up is a picture I like and I will hopefully emulate throught the build, and will basically be the color scheme as well, aside from any additional markings.

Secondly is some EPP 1.9 density I've blocked out for the fuse. It measures 42" x 6" x 6" and is in 4 parts to be joined in preparation for the side view, and top view templates which will be tacked onto the foam, and cut out with a bandsaw.

Rgr that!!! EPP got stank!! I'd rather work with EPP than MEK or Goof-Off anyday. Trust me guys, I will be needing help along the way, and I appreciate it. As I said earlier...progress will be slow. I was about to cut the side view as Tina went to school, now Im shadowing 16 month old Brandon as he does laps around the house.....weeeee

Eh, Mick, I think he means it's his first EPP plane, not the first PSS version of the -262. The -262 has been done to death AFAIK, it's one of the most popular PSS jets.

Anyways, right on Kevin. So can we hope to see this at the PSS Fest?
