FSS#14-15 San Felasco Oct 12-13

Looks like we are good to go with FSS #14-15 next month. October 12-13 2019 at San Felasco Glider Field.

There have been some issues with the hay contract and the field has grown up a bit, but the Park is cutting the entire field for us so things are looking good.

See ya there!

I've never been there. Is this the correct location?

Just for the record:

What times will the pilot's meetings and contest starting times be on Saturday, and on Sunday?

Will this be mixed-launch, i.e. electric-powered and winch-launched planes competing together?

If so, what altitude should CAM limiters in electric-powered planes be set to?

Will there be different landing tapes for "dorkers" and "sliders"?

Will the contest be open winch or man-on-man? If man-on-man, will it be seeded or will the entire matrix be generated before the contest begins?

Did I leave anything out, or does that cover everything?

"Standard" FSS contest that we've been running this year Mike. We'll have the winch, hopefully provided by Raed, electrics launch to mimic a winch launch that cuts at 30sec or 150m, standard tapes will be used for those who do precision landings, and tapes with a different graduation will be used for pilots opting to do a nostalgic slide type landing.

Dave, correct me if I'm wrong, we will have the pilots meeting at 9:45 on Saturday for a 10am sharp start and at 8:45 on Sunday for a 9am sharp start. We will fly until light permitting or we all are worn out on Saturday and no round will start after 2PM on Sunday.

Chime in here if you think you're coming so we can get a count for the Park.

Looking forward to it, always nice to fly at San Felasco, The Orlando Buzzards will provide winches and landing tapes (both styles) .

launch height can't fix stupid
ask me in a couple of weeks if my plane is done. Bathroom remodel taking up my valuable time. Bashing a Yellow Jacket 3.5 takes time too.
