In the product title they mention 60km/h, like almost always, i don't believe it will reach that speed.

There isn't a lot detailed photos but it look like to have good features, like the aluminum chasss, aluminum a-arms pivot brace and the aluminum oil filled shock absorber. It look like an LC Racing 1/14 EMB buggy copy :

If the Wltoys has the same features than the LC Racing, at the price it is sold (100us$/90€ on BG) , it would be interesting. The WLtoys cars i have, which are copied from known brands, are quite good copy so far.

So it's a slightly larger A9xx with some hop-ups? It might actually make for a descent car. I know that people love their A9xx's but I've had almost as much fun with a cheap toy grade. But to each his own and like I said, this doesn't look bad.

Yes, it is a 1/14 when the A9X9 are 1/18, so bigger. For the price it seems to be a better car than the A9X9, even if it still come with the 2in1 receiver/esc and 5 wires servo.

The front shock tower looks flimsy. Carbon fiber might be a better option.

The gear ratio seems to be high. And the blue body shell looks very good.

Yeah, WLToys seems to have really crappy electronics. Sure, it's not a big deal to change them but still, it's not that expensive for WLToys to put some at least not sucky parts in.

It seems they also have redesigned the ESC.

The question is did they use decent capacitors and how well is the soldering done?

Nice pics. So WLtoys hasn't put a slipper but the same direct drive with their plastic center spur gear. But the LC racing brushed version come with a plastic chassis without slipper also and it is sold at 139€. And yes, the gear ratio seems very high. LC Racing don't use big 550 motor on their chassis also. I hope they use a standard mod/pitch to be able to find motor pinion easily, and also that they haven't put a fixed motor mount without motor position adjustment.

Looks indeed like heavily "inspired" by LC. But the key question is, does it only look like EMB, or also performs similar.

Should Know Better But Doesn't
None of the photos, nor any of the answers to questions, cover what the chassis of this car looks like (from what i've been able to find).

All the photos on GB/BG show what would normally be the BL version of the LC Tacon/EMB...does anyone know if this WLToys version actually does run the alloy chassis/shocks/shock towers?

Also surprising seeing a 540/550 on a 1/14...seems to be a common thing with WL at the moment to over-power their cars purely to state a higher top speed. Speed's all good, but if the construction and handling isn't up to task it's a waste of time. But that seems to be the case with nearly all Chinese models of late - the biggest marketing hook is top speed.

I've been keen on one of the LC machines for a while, but I think i'd probably go with the real deal than this copy. Parts supply from LC is much more solid too compared with WLToys.

??? The chassis is aluminum, you don't see it on the photos?

Watch the photos in this thread, yes the WLtoys use aluminum.

If the copy is same than what i have already sseen from WLtoys, then the parts wiill be 100% compatible with LC racing.

I cannot trust half the pictures and information from places such as GB and BG, hence why i'm asking about what the buggy is really constructed of. Stock photos don't always fill me with that much confidence.

The RC gear on this will be a let-down, especially compared to the Batan unit that LC use.

Does anyone here own one that can chime in?

Since i order on banggood and aliexpress i never been disappointed as much as you are with photos. Imo, what you see will be what you get with this car.

This car surely won't use the same material quality than the LC racing, especialy the aluminum. But the plastic and the drive train can maybe be good. I'm not desapointed by the copy of the HPI Apache, Tamiya tractor and Vaterra rock racer that WLtoys did so far. Wait and see.

Fair enough. I've been using BG, GB, Ali and the like for a decade now, and my experiences have been mixed - often the descriptions aren't terribly accurate. This version also is $100 less than the brushed (plastic) version from LC which also makes me question things. Call me cynical

One other concern is that this model will be discontinued quickly due to action from LC. I found the same with my WL L303 - superb cheap buggy, but a copy of something else (not sure exactly, but possibly Team-C) - it was withdrawn from the market (as a few WLToys copies have over the years) very quickly and as such parts are hard to source apart from WLToys themselves.

I'd rather see real-world information rather than the vague descriptions that most of these sites provide, 'tis all.
