Question

SW60B jet options(other than foam!)

Purchased the HSD viper as a first turbine option. I did successfully maiden it, but I don't anticipate it lasting long. I already had a fire due to the new brushless ECU parameters being WAY off for pump voltage, which obviously did a number on the foam. Then I had a fuel leak that caused the formers for the nose section to disbond. So I see my SW60b looking for a new home soon...
I'm looking for a sport jet or a jet similar to the Fae Bao Velox or BVM Bobcat, but I don't want to be at the bottom end of the powerplant range, and I don't want to spend $5,000 on a kit! And I DO NOT want a boomerang!
Any ideas? I'm not seeing many options. I'd even consider converting a large EDF to turbine, but again, not looking to spend $4-5k for a PNP kit.

How about the Pilot predator 1.8meter. All composit and cost $2500 with all servo's, tank, gear with brakes and pipe.

I already have a predator 2.2M that will be far from marginally powered with a 170 in it. I already consider this Viper to me marginally powered at 15lbs. The Predator 1.8 comes in at 18-19. Not gonna cut it for me.

I was originally reading about the Rebel HOT, and it appears to be perfect as far as size/weight. But the first thread I read was from the ones being built by Pirotti and there was nothing but complaints about how long it was taking to get them, and when they did finally get them they were junk quality.
I was just informed that Comp-arf took over production and quality has improved all around. And it looks like it will finish out at around the same price as the Predator.

Love my T-One Mini, amazing quality, you can fly it on a 60-85. Mine is 16.12lbs with full UAT and empty main tank. I also like the comp-arf Joker but it’s a little bigger than the T1M.

Harlock Viper will fit that turbine and have unlimited vertical as well. Around $650 for the airframe

Yeah, that would be marginal power for me. My HSD is around 15.5 lbs in same condition and about 19.25lbs take off weight. I am not happy with the thrust/weight at all.
The rebel HOT claims to weigh less than 15.5lbs with a full tank of fuel. I have been in contact with Ray Labonte and think I'm going to go that route if he can get one to me in the next 5-6 weeks.

Wow, it sure is priced right! Not too fond of the looks but it's definitely a budget option.
In a pinch, I'd just buy the kit and pull all my servos and landing gear from the HSD for this one.
