Another little Canard Delta looking parkjet

I wanted to optimize this little 1306 and 2s 500mah power system. So I built this little guy from a Dollar Tree foam sheet, some light carbon flats and balsa strips. The carbon is for spars. The balsa stiffness it lengthwise along the bottom of the "intake/engine nacel" Then a strip just behind the leading edge to stiffen the wing a bit and give a little airfoil action.

The plane flies really nice but the esc is overheating in the compartment. I think it needs to go outside for some air. I'll see how annoying the de sync thing gets and maybe I'll change it.

The first is the maiden the second is with a touch of nose weight. The plane weighs 122g. Fun fact: when I first joined my club I was asked what I flew, I said mainly little foamies, the guy laughed and said that's great but they can't handle any kind of wind. I now look back and laugh.

Thanks Dave. I moved the esc to the side of the fuse and will give it another try.

Looks neat, have to watch the video when I get home...limited data on my phone...
You can add a simple 1/4 section of a tube
to look like fake air inlet ducts on both sides to cover the esc, just leave the rear open for pass through. And it also looks like you could easily add rudders to the v-stabs for more fun with it.

I can give you measurements or draw it out on a piece of paper and take a pic of it. I wish I knew how to print a proper plan.

There's alot of skilled guys here that I'm sure can do something with just your drawings and pics. Take some side, top, and bottom pics and do a drawing with some measurements. If you draw like me it won't look great but it'll get the job done.

Haha, ok I'll put some stuff together and take some measurements. Actually on my way to fly right now! I'm going to maiden a Tiger 3 and re maiden a Tower Corsair. It should be fun.

The Tiger was great right off the bench with little trim. The Corsair also flew better than I remember. I used a 9x6 reverse prop (because thats what I had) and it went well.

Here are some pics for starters. It balances on the hatch closure post.
