4s in a thin wing?

I've been away from the hobby for a bit, but I want to return.

I have a 36" Wing Warrior E-Zipper (remember those?) that I used to run 12 NiMH in. I want to switch to 4s, but it seems as though 4s packs are quite thick. The E-Zipper is very thin. I'm not sure how to fit a 4s in there.

How would you fit a 4s in a thin wing? What pack (size, brand) would you suggest?

Thank you,
Brad

Maybe 2 2s pack in series if you need it thin.

Why not get a typical 4s pack, remove the outer jacket and separate two cells, then reseal? As long as you know what you are doing...you should be ok

This one is similar to what I run in a wing -- pretty thin @ 21mm for it's capacity. They have another at 19mm but only 1500mah.

If it flies, I can crash it.

LiPos come in all shapes and sizes, and there's no rule that says you have to use a single monolithic pack. Short/fat, long/thin, rectangular.... I've got 4S packs that are the normal "brick" shape, and I've got 4S packs that are shaped more like a paperback book, and I've got 4S packs that are almost a cube. You have to figure out how much space you have and how many mAh you need, and shop around for a solution. But I'd be surprised if you couldn't find a solution.

If necessary for a particular application it wouldn't bother me to install two 2S batteries with a series adapter. But probably need to select only from high-C batteries in order to get heavy enough primary wiring.
