well took it out for a test today a lot more thrust and a bit better glide .I think the glide can be improved when I add the xps/epp as the trailing edge on the glide area needs to be stiffened I think we will see. I have started the flat split tail see how that works . I would like to thank Mike for designing and sharing these parts it is fun to experiment

Well I tested it today fly's great can fly with the tail nearly flat. Which I think is much more natural and faster. I have foam coming next week which is 3mm xps if it isn't suituible I will build some planes with but what I have read it should be ok.I want to have a lot more flights before I add foam just so I can compare

Got delivery of 20 x 3mm x500mm x1000mm xps foam at less then $2 a sheet I am happy with the price as I couldn't source epp/eps here in that size sheets at all.It is halve way between depron and eps you can make it hold shape buy heating I did a small test with a hair dryer so when the weather gets better some more testing how it is .Then I will add foam and see how much better it is gliding I would hope is much better have to wait and see regards Brian

That is one side done with xps I am reasonably happy with it now to do the other side.I am making it out of a wing I already had I would make it different and neater if it was scratch built regards Brian
