Help!

Team USA F3F Team Selects desperately need help!

Hi All!

I wouldn't ask if we didn't have to.

The Team Selects for the next US team for F3F (Slope racing) are taking place in two weeks (September 6th, 7th, and 8th) at Grass Mountain.

And we have no base button pushers.

Technically it is not allowed for pilots to press buttons during a team selects to prevent any bias.

But at this point we have no helpers willing to sit in a comfy chair and press buttons most of the day.

I can assure anyone that is interested that it is a fun thing to watch, and that you will be provided with lunch, the chair, the button, and all the water you can drink every day.

If you or anyone you know can come help us pick the next US team to go to the worlds, that would be awesome!

Please, Please, Please, Please!!!!!

Seriously, we are begging the soaring community to come out and help...

Thanks,

Tim

If I lived in cali or near would be more than happy to come out and help. Though living here in ND it is quite a drive.

Is there a way to have one person to time multiple planes? Not really sure how the timing works, so this may be totally out of the queation

Hi Woogie man!

Actually, the timing is handled at the center of the course, but we need people at base A and base B press buttons to confirm that the plane has made it past those bases.

Each competitor flies by himself and attempts to do 10 laps as fast as possible.

But we need two people (that aren't competitors) to judge when the plane passes the bases. You can see why we couldn't have the competitors fly, because they could maybe make a call that was bias...

And yes, this happens to be in California just north of Los Angeles.

Thanks,

Tim

Ahhh ..... Have heard about this style of flying, but haven't looked into it much. Being as there are little to no hills around here to slope soar from
