New Product

Need custom RC Airliner built.

Hello my name is Cameron White. I am looking to purchase a custom built rc Boeing 737. I cant find one to purchase already built and i have 1 feature non of them seem to have. I will list the idea of what i am going for and if this is something you can help me with please respond and/or email me at [email protected]

My idea is -

I want a FiberGlass(Not Foam) Rc Boeing 737. I want it to have fully fucitional flaps, led lights, and gear, etc.. and i would like the color way to say my business name "SkyCam Photography" and have my drone logo. One thing i really want on this Boeing in the front cockpit is a fpv camera.

The fpv system i want to have is DJI's https://www.dji.com/fpv?site=brandsite&from=nav

i don't know if that comes with a fpv camera but i would want a HD FPV Camera and prefer to use this control if possible. (Add on for control switch available)

Here is a video of somebody's else's build similar to what i have in mind.
Qantas Boeing 737 MAX8 build video by Ramy RC (11 min 4 sec)

How i see this project going is i would put a deposit down for the build and also ship/buy the fpv system and camera/controller for you to be able to work on and then upon finsih of build another payment and then the last payment when i receive the plane. You can decide on the payment amounts. Thank you and would love to see some photos of you alls previous builds as well.

Cool Idea! This may be better placed in the classified area.

Pretty ambitions idea, I daresay you may be spending quite a bit of money on this, especially when labor is factored into the equations. As you can see by some of RamyRC's videos, these custom airliners are a serious labor of love.

Have you thought about purchasing a kit from say BananaHobby or HobbyKing for an airbus a380? It would be easy enough to modify the foam fuselage to accept an FPV setup, and would save you potentially thousands in costs

I would contact Demondriver on Instagram or here on RCGroups.

My thoughts: good luck finding someone with the will to build a model with such features. I frequently get offers at my flying field for me to build an airliner for someone and it's always "I want these features, this material and I will pay you x for labor" but to builders it sounds like "I'm going to throw all these electronics at you, not provide plans or documents and my pitiful labor offer will equate to less than $1/hr" because people don't understand just how much work goes into these and how much random hardware is needed on the side.

My point is that it would be better off buying a PNP model and modifying it or putting in the time to learn how to build yourself.

beautifully said. I have linked a few PNP models below for OP's convenience:

Had the same thougts. Building models for $$ would likely never bring what any skilled modeler would want. The last airliner I built at 34" span may have had 125 hours, and that's as a fast builder. Figure McDonald's wages + materials + shipping a person would be looking at over $1500, and I have no interest in building and selling models at that rate. Your $6000 figure for a professionally built glass airliner seems withing the ballpark.
