I replaced the weak Multistar 1704/2300 kv on 2S 520 lipos spinning a 6X3 prop with a Racestar BR1306/3100 kv on 2S spinning a 4.1X4.1 and a 5X3 prop, which is the better choice.

I then shaped the LE and fine tuned the CG once again. Now it's almost perfect in everyway now. Although, a little porky at 4.4 ounces RTF.

The final gear choice is a 6A ESC, 4ch RX and 2X3.7 gram servos.

Interested?? I can post measurements.

Note the slit in the LE edge? That's where I install flat lead to balance. Once perfected, I seal it with hot glue and add a splash of paint.

Yes, aren't those little Racestar 1306's good power in a tiny package!
Have built square, circle, half circle/square, time for a triangle in the geometry of things.
Couple of spare br1306.
Interested, measurements please.

cheers

Been trying different props on the 1306 and found, even though they consumed to same amps, they were vastly different. When climbing straight up vertical the black sport 4.1X4.1 prop ran out of steam, but the GWS type 5X3 keep right on hauling.

Thrust is the name of the game.

Too expensive to my door, more than twice the price. Anyways, I like to stick to 2S to keep the weight down.

As set up now I've got more power/thrust than I need.
