Also, I forgot, I am using a Power 32 motor and Eflight 60amp ESC on 4s battery with a 12x8 prop and it puts out 750watts pulling 45-50amps in a 60 inch wingspan low wing 5lb sport plane. Just for reference, I think it is close to the Rimfire motor you are using.

I did a thread on converting the SSE a couple of years ago. Perhaps it could be of help to you. John https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...omething-Extra

Thanks for all the help guys! Got it up and flying this weekend and it flew awesome! Went with Rimefire 32, plush 60 ESC, 4s 3000mah batteries, and 12x8 prop. Unlimited vertical and butter smooth.

Thanks again!

I am just starting the fuse on mine. Could you post detailoed pictures of your hatch setup.
Figuring that out is my next step
thanks
I am stealing the checkerboard idea!

And Yes, the rear of the fuse is a bit busted up in this old kit. I am scratchbuilding certain sections damaged in a move.
The tail feathers are all scratchbuilt.

How did your CG work out? Should I build either end heavy?

How is the prop clearance with original gear?
I was planning on 14"- might have to go with 12" and see how many amps I get
