THE DOGS are back at the National Museum of the US Air Force!
If you like large R/C Warbirds, Jets, Helicopters 3D, Pattern and a world-class museum full of the real thing. Mark your calendar now to attend the D.O.G.S. Giant Scale event at the National Museum of the USAF in Dayton Ohio. The Museum is more than awesome! This year there will be an after-hours jaunt through it's maze of warbirds. If you have never been to this museum before you are in for an aviation treat of a lifetime.
The National Museum of the United States Air Force is the largest single display of aircraft in the world. This year again we will be having time slots for aerobatics, warbirds and general flying. This way everyone can consume their favorite type of flying with one hour of dedicated time to that group. All are welcome and admission is free. Registration is free for all pilots! UP TO 30,000 ATTENDEES IN 3 DAYS!

Website is flashy but not full of info.
What is the schedule for the three days? Want to time my visit with particular events. Who can register to fly? Is there open fly? When is open fly? What can people fly? How will open fly work? Do pilots get briefed on procedure, etc. What vendors? Food, equipment...etc. Best way to enter park? |

Tentative schedule attached. Open fly is for giant scale pilots and AMA card holders...unfortunately that will exclude me. But looking forward to seeing a great show.

Nice turnout this morning. All running smooth. 3D planes, scale planes, turbines, EDFs, and even two 700 helis! The scratch build xb70 and sr71 were a rare find. Light on the warbirds this year. But, food trucks, facilities, pilot tents, bleachers and hobby vendor. Show is from noon to 2pm tomorrow also (Sun). Highly recommended! All looking out at the wonderful WPAFB museum. Saw RCG banner tent there too!

So a group of us drove from eastern PA to attend this show. We could not have been treated any better by the small group running this event. East coast fliers should consider attending this show whenever it is held again. A great place to fly, a great bunch of people and a crowd that really seems glad that you are there. We will be spreading the word and will be back next time. Thanks D.O.G.S. for such a good time.
