Keep plugging away. BTW, That is the most beautiful lake I have ever seen with an rc boat on it. You need to start running subs with us.

Keep the stern foil flat, and tip the forward trailing edge down a bit.
You want front flaps, for more lift not elevator action.
With the larger surface area, the foils will "ski" once they lift and break the surface.

Another thing to consider is maximum speed of your motor setup may be too fast for the design speed. If you are over speed, the foils can lift out too far and essentially stall the foils. That could be the climb and fall condition you are experiencing.

Hi! Klemen P san.

The lift of the front wing seems to be too large.
Bend the thin aluminum plate of the front wing upward,
Try giving Small minus camber.
Since this angle requires fine adjustment, it is necessary to adjust the angle by giving -1 degree at a time and repeating the test run.
You need to repeat this process to find the best angle.
You need to be patient.

Hi ! Klemen san.
Sorry.
Since the direction → in the attached diagram was wrong
Attach the drawing of how to bend the minus camber again.
This work is performed minutely, one bending and one test run each time
And find the best angle.
(*Apply this angle adjustment only to the front wing.)

Hi! Klemen san.
Of the hydrofoil that I use
to introduce. See attached image
If anything, it is not an aircraft type but a shape close to the original hydrofoil type.
The resistance of the aircraft type is too high in the water.

Any further test is worse.
I took the Alu plate down the front because the ship lacked any stability.
Speed is also very important!
If the speed is too high, too much foil looks out of the water and the buoyancy breaks.
now i will make brand new adjustable wings for the last time and then i am done with this project
I think that I have with this project harvested many gray hairs

video of today test:
Rc hydrofoil- Krila Pirana (4th test) (7 min 11 sec)

and few pics of finished model....except good "working" wings

I would suggest setting your radio and ESC to a maximum speed you will run the boat at (probably much less than full speed capable) and tune it to run at that speed. I think the foils are having trouble running at a wide variety of speeds. Just a thought.

Sorry...I don't understand-what's wrong with the way it was running in these pictures? Can't you just revert back to the way it was rigged then?

This project is closed until further notice and the ship has already occupied the only free space I still have ..

It's a fine fiddly business.

Klemen,

I want to make sure I understand correctly. You are going to stop working on your ship for a while. I hope you resume some time later. Time away from project is good at times.

You have made a very impressive model. It looks wonderful.

Takahashi San's suggestions look promising as well as the suggestion of xx2919, to adjust the throttle throw downward. But there are times to take a break.

Robert.
