Hi Guys,

The airfoil is one that I personally developed. I went through 10 different modifications before settling on the one that is included in the kit.

It is fully symmetrical and is thick enough to provide great all around handling both fast and slow. You all will be amazed at the extremely flat glide the GLH has power off, even with only 100 sq/in wing area.

Sincerely,
Doug (and Becky)

Hi Guys,

All up weight covered with no electronics or power plants are coming in 2.8 to 3 oz.

All up weights finished and ready to fly are coming in from 6.3 to 6.8 ounces.

I personally select each piece of balsa and use what is best for the parts that are being cut. You will find I use medium to medium+ weight balsa. This grade is most easily available and most consistent. I purposely designed all our kits based on this consideration and to keep cost down. What we've ended up with is great flying planes that are not fragile and very easy to construct.

All fuselages and tail feathers are 3/32" and optimized for strength/weight with lightening holes.

All wing components (less center section sheeting) are 1/8". Again, fully optimized for strength/weight with lightening holes.

Further consideration was taken in that both fuselage sides were cut from the same sheet and nearly all wing components are cut from the same sheet. This keeps wing balance in check and part to part strength consistent from side to side etc..

Hope this helps answer most questions.

Sincerely,
Doug (and Becky)

Fuse assembly is done!

No instructions included in the kit, so I followed Doug's video (link below)….super easy! I added the glow engine/Cox .020 firewall and used epoxy to attach it.

NOTE: Instructions for all Willy Nillies' kits can be download:
https://willynillies.com/downloads

Quality of the wood and fit is outstanding. Thin CA used with capillary tube. By far, my fastest 1/4A fuse "kit" build! Great work, Doug!

On to the wing!

Yay! $5 says it took you longer to punch parts out than it did to assemble everything?

How fast are these? I built an original GLH 25 years ago with a TD .09 and it was (not slow).
