Description:

Purpose of the AlbaBird was to design a much better plane to replace the old Traveller。learning, listening and flight testing finally came out the new resolutions. The AlbaBird has much better flight characteristics such as better Lift-Drag Ratio by the new Airfoil and new configurations, more space and easy plug-fly design is more friendly and convenient to fly and breakdown. it's not big but we tested AUW 1.7kg is still comfortable with Airspeed only 12M/S proved its good slow flying characteristics, it was design to be portable too ( if you like a backpack is workable to carry)
AlbaBird is a great choice if you want to own a plane not that big, easy hand launching, super stable and easy to fly, conveniet to carry, easy ,fast deployment and breakdown more importantly be capable of flying 60 minutes, 90 minutes or even upto 90 minutes. by 18650 4S2p, 4S3P , 4S4P

AutoPilot .
Very nice. It's good to offer 1 or 2 piece fuse aswell.
Personally I would like a V tail.

Yeah, Regardless of person preference, a traditional horizontal &vertical wing configurations naturally has better performance than V-tail configurations, Generally V-tail is for some single tail pusher drone which structurally must use V-tail to meet its requirements

I wouldn't buy an EPO plane again I'm afraid.
My Traveller (EPP) just amazed me with how much abuse it could take and STILL look in good shape
EPP please

Yeah sure I knew and the Traveler is unbeatable but no one knew how is the defective rate ? sometimes almost 50%, EPP is fine to make simple shape and smaller one like the flying wing is good but it's nightmare to mass production cheap kits for bigger and complex structure parts ( still workable if expensive kits to supply some project ) epp elastic characteristic naturally deforming terrible, more importantly invisible deforming make the plane not exactly as your design may influence plane's flight characteristics. you wouldn't have chance to buy a traditional layout& economy RC EPP planes except smaller one and flying wing .

it nice using EPP but it become un nicely for our pocket in this case i'm agree with ben as long we can afforded it's fine with me ($79 are decent price) besides my others EPO planes are as great as EPP, it because i laminate it all, my 5 years old EPO still shinny until now, so i have no problem with it

i don't know how good EPO quality from finwing are (as my "transformer & traveler" from finwing using EPP) hopefully the EPO quality same like from skywalker (all plane from skywalker i have with very good quality althought it's EPO)

so ben, you launch this plane in the same time (bit late actually) with sonicmodell binary

can you give us a clue, why we should choose this than binary? (same price but binary a little bit wide a 100mm) i believe that would be very though to everyone to choose unless you can prove this plane are a better options

I don't know too much about Binary, the purpose of Albabird is to replace the old Traveler T1160 not to replace Binary , wingspan is 1.1M but wing area is 20 sq dm, so what's the wing area for Binary? I think should be similar size plane but totally different design if you look into their structures not only size , anyway this one is a continuing upgrading one for Traveler not a replacements to other manufacturers' plane

by the way. are you sure same price?

yeah I haven't see BG price but seems the Albabird let their price down 54% but other local sellers is$$$, sorry don't made me wrong to talk too much about other manufactures, don't don't .........

Anyway we are all human but different people ! there are lots of same sized plane in RC world but functions, design, shapes are differently to meet different buyers. The Albabird is still much more portable like Traveler 1160 than other similar sized plane, could be backpack travelling. and Plug&fly no need flyers to connect servos, VTX, RX , ESC wires.
more information will be available soon when we finished the final testing.
