Have you figured a way to install the giant battery in this thing? Should prove to be an interesting design challlenge.

Yes, there are access hatches, on the bottom, that are held on with magnets, they come with the k
kit! I will use a 2S- lipo 500. to 800mah will fit in the bays! The Kit design is excellent and you can do it as FF or .049 or Electric!!

wings are joined

Hi Guys,
Wings are now joined together, and fin is fitted to fuselage, the fin will be removeable . Upper hatches are done ready to be CA'd in place. Upper fuselage and,
lower fuselage are formed, and fitted. You must think ahead on this build. servos have to be installed before covering.

Nice wood! The centre fin is an unusual configuration for a swept wing, something I haven’t seen before.

The fin position looks like being centered on the CG... not too effective, but easy to balance!

I tend to forget the delicacy of those vintage structures, even tho I built a lot of them as a kid. I hope you have tall grass to fly over, at least for the maiden.

Sweet project!

BTW, I was curious about your work lamp, so enlarged the image, saw the manufacturer logo and got onto the OttLite website. Just might have to get one of those.

And totally BTW, that's a sweet old rifle: looks like a Sako Finnbear I hunted with for many years.

cheers,
Ed

Good Morning ED,
Thank you, the weight of the fin, is 0.45 oz. so it will not effect The CG much I like old time designs, as at 77 I am old time!
You do have a very good eye! The Lamp is a Ott=lite works great for building airplanes. The rifle
is a Model 70, Take care abd have fun, stay young! Enjoy those Beautiful mountains !
