They are both 1200mm span, but the mig seems to be 1kg heavier. But the wings look like they have more wing area .

Freewing F-86 has nice scale sexy look. This Mig-17, if quality consistently lives up to the expectation, appears at the next level, the scale features, the thrust, and rarely modelled in foam, if ever done.

Flown by trained pilots, Mig-17 simply proven to be, argurably, a tough rival against contemporary more advanced faster US fighter jets like F-4, F-105, even F-100 or F-8.

The only thing I can see that I don't like is the 100amp ESC and built in BEC. Not much if any headroom and a separate BEC is becoming the standard.
The pictures on the HK site look like it has a cheater hole....

Yeah the cheater hole camouflaged by the black patch, like Freewing F-16. I am happy with the performance though. I will probably make it easier to transfer ESC in and out of this jet.

Don't see any red colored decal for this Russian jet, yet. Will have to make one myself, not big deal.

The interesting feature of Russian military jets is the lack of colorful complicated graphics on the fuse or wing...

Don't blame yourself, please. I never paid much attention to Mig 17 until two days ago Snake made this thread. I thought Mig-17 is just the younger brother of Mig-15 lol.

After learning more history about Century series jets, I regret all the wasted time converting Flyfly F-100 into Mig-21 (way before Freewing's release).

Wow, f-100 to mig 21....that sure is a conversion

I always wanted the flyfly mig 15, but they have vanished.
