Aero Hobbies of Lewisville, Texas is Closing July 31, 2019

I went by last week and found out they were closing after 22 years. The DFW Metroplex loses another hobby shop this year after 2 Hobby Towns and Wild Bill's in Irving.

Store Closing

All good things must come to an end.

After almost 22 years of serving Lewisville and the surrounding DFW area, Aero Hobbies will be closing at the end of July.

It has been a pleasure helping people get into and stay in the hobby. I built the store on the idea of helping. I believe I have done that through out the years. I will miss it but, it is time to move on to our next adventure.

Starting today, July 1st, most everything in the store is 10% off, plastic models are 20%. Big items have their own sale prices. These prices will lower each Monday. All the Monday prices are listed now on each product. For most items there is only one. So while it maybe cheaper next week, it may and probably will be gone. Please come help us sell through our inventory.

These are in store prices only. Most will be below MAP as they are close out single items. Come by or give me a call to see what we have left.

July 1st will be 10%, July 8th 20%, July 15th 30%, July 22nd 40%, July 29th 50%

As a last thank you, I would like to offer some incredible prices on items that I do not stock. If you have been on the fence about an item, come see me. Let me special order it for you at a fantastic discount. Maybe you can pick up a couple of Dubro parts to go with that new toy.

Thank you to all my customers and friends,

Andy

I have never even heard of that store but its sad to see another one gone. I guess that leaves 3 I can think of left. Roys in Bedford. JT's in west Ft Worth and Airport Pawn. Last time I was at Airport it was pretty raggaed. Ol' Homer was pretty ragged too.

I didn't know that. I haven't been there in a couple of years. I wonder what Homer did with that back room of old RC models he had. I don't think he would even let you go look at them. And all those old swords? Homer knew my grandfather from way back in the 1960s or there abouts. I'm not really sure. I think they shot guns together. My GF was a custom rifle builder and built many, many rifles for people.

Was Homer still driving that land barge station wagon he had been driving for decades? His daughter said he never gets rid of anything.

Not that I know of anymore. We are down to Roy's Hobby Shop in Hurst and a few Hobby Town stores nowadays. Roy's does have quite a few helicopters in stock along with some parts for them. Mostly eFlite or SAB though. They didn't have any Gaui or Align choppers when I last looked. There might be a store way out farther away from my locale, but I don't know. Aero hobbies was pretty awesome in how much helicopter stuff they had on hand. It is hard to match that store.
