Diatone GT X Exorcist Camera Tilt Cage Modification

Those of us fortunate enough to get in on the first batch of GT X frames may be experiencing some issues with achieving the camera angle they desire as there is an interference with the circuit board on the back of the camera and the frame of the cage. (This is done with the standard RunCam Micro sized camera, there could be enough clearance for different brands of cameras?)

This only allows you to have what I consider “too little” camera angle:

Or “FULL SEND IT”:

To achieve something in the middle (i.e. 40 to 45°), some modifications to the corners as well as adding a chamfer to the crossbar going across the bottom.
Using a Dremel and grinding bits I was able to remove enough material to allow the corners and bottom of camera to pass by (this was a painful process of remove and check which took well over an hour before I was satisfied with the results, so don’t expect this to be a 15-minute fix)

While this was an oversite that people are likely going to complain about being that this is a $150 frame which shouldn’t require modification as such to be functional, I believe they may change the geometry on this part in the future and make the new cage available?
After the modification I simply used a sharpie to recoat it black, so it looks like it’s anodized, and no one will be able to tell.
This frame is the nicest design I have ever worked with, and it’s a beast as well as I have already sheared a motor off the arm mount in a crash which fully ripped the screw out of the base and bent the other side up to almost 45° without putting so much as a scratch on the frame:

I have two of these built so far, and will be working on a 3rd after coming back from the MultiGP International Open this week, and I will be bringing this gorgeous quad along with me if you’d like to see some eye candy? Enjoy!

Sir, what is the available stack height(mm) & is it compatible with 16/19mm motor mount?

It appears to only accept 16mm motor base screw spacing, and the stack I used is the Talon F4 20x20 with 35a gigawatt esc:

https://www.heli-nation.com/talon-f4...a-6s-esc-combo

Stack height max would be between 14.5 to 15.0mm. I ended up using 1 set of o-rings under the esc to separate it from the base, 3 above it to give enough room to run the ribbon cable underneath the fc without pinching it or crushing the harness plugs.

I do have a TBS unify pro race above it double stick taped to the top of the cage, but as you can see there isn't a whole lot of room there, but it does allow the stack to float just enough as to not be hard pressed or rigid.

I do not know if the new version of the esc which has the heat sink plate on it will eat up too much room underneath the flight controller so that you need to space it up further?
