Old Buzzard's Soaring Video or Book

Anybody got this reference item I could buy from you? Soaring Stuff refuses to call me or write or email...or breathe?

PM me please!

thanks for help....I just know they are harder than anything to buy. Being that hard I don't know why there isn't more out floating around. I'd even settle for a video.

Is that how to get them? Directly from him?

Many years ago Dave was selling them. He would sign it if you asked. Used to sell a lot at the IMS. Try the publishers link provided.

He also published "Do You Speak Model Airplanes?".

I'll ask around for a local copy of the video. I haven't seen it.

What is wrong with the Carsten's link above? That is where I bought mine about a year ago. It arrived a few days later in the regular US mail in a nice proper book box. Cheap, too!

Unfortunately I find that local fliers have imparted just as much knowledge on to me as I could glean from that book, and I was disappointed that over half the book seemed dedicated to slope soaring (which we have precious little of here in woodsy CT). I loaned mine to another local flier last Spring and I think he might have shipped out for Iraq or something cause I haven't seen him since! (he is in the Naval reserve)

Perhaps, but the book's worth a read just for the story of the hitchhiking buzzard!

For everybody's information, forget Soaring Stuff. I even asked the Albuquerque BBB to see what was going on and they told me there was no answer, period. It's pretty agravating when the website is so enticing, but it looks like there's nobody home for business. JohnC

Carstens is your friend. As for a video for learning thermals, I am told that Paul Naton's Secrets of Thermal Soaring is pretty decent.
