Thank you for posting all these videos, I've really enjoyed them !

In fact, I am about to order a Recoil 26 in a few days because I was so envious of the fun that you're having.

It will be my first ever RC model.

Question: Are you still using the stock 3200mAh battery in your latest video ?

Did you mount the collet backwards again?

Yes...it works for me. Team who wins don't change... in 20 runs...one time was changed and it come loose...so i have no doubts of runing in how it came! Even if it's the wrong one...and if it don't hurt, don't change it! lol

Well all i can say is go get one. Even if it's your first RC...
I have 10 years of RC experience but with RC cars and small helicopters. Boat's are my first ones. I also have the Recoil 17", and only got that one cause i have a small lake pool on my vacations site...and the recoil 26" is to big for it... also the Recoil 17" being small is not that stable as the 26" brother. In RC you want stability, either slow or fast things...worst part of the rc game is constantly going close to the "toy" and flip it down again and again, you loose most of the fun, and frustation comes to start!

But when they are right it only happens when you drive them super agressivelly!

And what better to end the conversation...

Thanks for the reply. When I get it I will check the collet and see if it is facing the same direction as yours. If it is, then I guess that is how it was meant to work.

Thanks, I will take a look at that, too.

May I also add that it's never a good idea to be in the water with a 30mph+ projectile zipping about. Truthfully, I've done this with an RC car and it HURT! A pointy-nosed boat is worse.

RC BOAT ACCIDENT (4 min 1 sec)

The wound is bad enough, but now anything nasty in the water has access below his protective skin. Risk of infection is high.

No need for unnecessary risks. Stay dry, stay safe.

I once plunged my blue mania 23 bl into the shore at full speed. It flew like 50cm next to me. It happened because a twig touched my back and i thought it was a wasp, so i let off the controller to scare the "wasp" away, crashing into the shore. Yes, i was stupid enough to go full throttle against the shore.

The aftermath of the crash was a small crack in one of the sponsons (it was stuck about 15cm in the shore) and possibly a damaged motor.

Take this as an advice on what not to do

Regards, Jan

It looks much faster than 30Mph / 48Kph, is your boat still stock or has it been modified ?

Also, you didn't explain why you fitted that big capacitor.

All stock and poor lipos (stock lipo) and Blade QX350 3s lipo!
One thing i think is strange is when i use a 3s Graphene lipo 60c from Turnigy the ESC shut's off for a second on full throothle... guess it's to much amp draw for the esc to handle?

As for the capacitor it's just a capacitor that "brains" call it Glitch buster.... I have more rc's mostly cars and all of them have it on the receiver!
Is to avoid any brownouts that occur on the BEC when using power hungry servos or whatever wired (Leds? Winch!!) )to the BEC, that could lead to a sudden power lost and we need it the most specially on braking! lol

See this video... also there are thousands of them on youtube about it! I choosed this one cause it explains it very well efectivelly!
Novak Glitch Buster Receiver Capacitor Effectiveness Review NOV5626 5600µF (2 min 16 sec)

And this week i finished finally my X-Maxx Traxxas and look on what is on the receiver box!

I hope my boat is as fast as yours !

My new Recoil arrived a few days ago and I checked the collet and took a photo. It has the collet facing the same direction as yours, so this must be how it is fitted in the factory and not a mistake.

You have nothing to worry about !
