My ProBoat Recoil 26 (Second boat - Pictures & Videos thread)
So, what's better then a Recoil 17"?
It's big brother!! So much more stable out of the box then the Recoil 17! But i think it's slower, or the Graphene 75C Phanter lipo really kicks !"#!"# . Anyway, after it's first run i tried to remove the shaft...and first problem...it doesn't come out! I pulled and pulled even with a plier's, and got frustated that went mad and made this.. Removed it backwards. First removed the motor & motor mount, and pulled the shaft till the tube come off! Then with strong force securing both end's it selfremoved ...guess it was soldered or RED loctited. In the END, everything went well....now i lubricated the shaft and made sure that this piece won't stick like that... ( i see videos on youtube that people just unscrew's the 10mm and 12mm hex's and remove the shaft...but mine won't come off! lol -That with an arrow is what was either soldered or loctited!! Video is cooking! |

Recoil
Cool vids.....
I definitely love the Recoils......I give the slight edge in fun factor to the little 17. Our 17 ended up catching our 26's top speed so I had to play some more with the 26 and now it's closing in on 40 MPH. But, the excitement level from the 17 can't be matched, it's antics are just too much fun. We have 4 RC17's that's how much fun we have with them... |

Yep! Love the 2 recoil's!
I will upgrade this 26". 4s & 5s. Just hope stock motor will handle...if not a new one will be a simple task...i know i need to change the ESC first for 4s use! Here is another run, maded this weekend...with photos & videos.. |

The first time that "!#$"# must be RED loctited or something... strange!
AND.... Well that's what i did the second time...( I MADE SURE it was perfect loose even with marine grease!!!) AND with a little strong screwdriver on those holes with brute force it still don't come off...tried and tried again and again and then it GOT loose.... yeah!! At the third time now i don't even need to apply brute force, just a little to the right with the screwdriver and it get's loose! It's a shame they don't tell you that on the manual... that you need to put a little screwdriver on those holes, and push to the right...cause that collar is not loctited or soldered...but with the amount of brute force envolved to remove it ...i really even know it! With use it get's loose and perfect to remove the shaft...but first times...arghhhhhhh. Even doing the right thing! |
