Today I have installed th vertical stabs, one with the vtx antenna inside it, and the other stab has te vertical diversity rx antenna in it... the other ex antenna is in the wing running span wide.

The rx is in the wing held in place with a little servo tape, I also put a blob of hot glue on the rx antenna plugs before I shrink wrapped it, so the antennas cant come unplugged.

I cut a small letter box in the same wing as the rx for the gps chip... set in place with a spot of hot glue and then reset the hatch.

The nose cone is also now properly installed with 5 tiny servo screws to secure it.

All the wiring looms have been made and tested... it's time to do a final fit.

Vtx hatch cut in to the underside of the wing and windows cut fo cooling before fixing it in place on a rubberised mount.

Vents cut for esc and motor cooling, and hatch made to fit securely on carbon dowels at the back, 3 screws in to the main spar at the front and a scew each side in the recess I formed with glass plate.

All set and ready for maiden.....

What material did you use to make the dual lens nose cone?

Nice work. Glad you got it back in one piece. I wonder if the current sensor scaling was off, so you were maybe pulling more than 180ish amps? Is there a 300A esc you could use? Maybe get the heatsink up into direct airflow, even though it will add drag?

Scaling is bang on... I always tweak the scaling to suit my inline watt meter... to be honest it was hitting around 225 amps at places... so no surprises really....

...I am talking to Alien at the moment to see which esc to go for.... they have a couple of 300amp esc's...

Just had a little over 320kmh out of the funjet.... will post a clip later....

£500 worth of esc has just arrived... and to top off my good day I've just managed to find 2 more new unused Leopard 3674 2650kv motors, not the x2, the original ones with the 4 hole pattern and ventilation... what a result!!
