New motor and an old lathe
My harbor freight 8x12 had the motor die.
HF says we still sell the lathe but we will not sell you the motor you need... Great... The 3/4 HP motor it came with seemed anemic so I need Behold the temporary fit of the 1HP, 3 Phase motor. I need to turn an intermediate shaft before I can do the final install. |

Look for the frame number
Most motors on small lathe are DC I would check voltage at motor most time you it is the control that died Some times it the brushes on the motor simple to replace. I replaced parts for motors and controls on Amazon and EBay Dave Quote:
