New Product

Eachine RedDevil

Full Review HERE

Oh wait a new version of the Sailfly-X ? Oh no it is a toothpick quad from Eachine The Eachine RedDevil !

You can get it on:
  • Banggood for 100$ BGRedDevil 12%OFF EXP:7/31

So what we have here ? It looks like a mix between the Sailfly-X and the Eachine Trashcan for 100$.

The frame looks like the Sailfly-X (105mm, 2mm of carbon) and the canopy seems to be the one from the trashcan.

The FC is the new Crazybee F4 Pro V2.1 (with the capacitor to plug the lipo). The motor seems to be 1102 but for 8700KV / 1.5mm shaft (not 9000 ?) for 2/3S. And a big fix I think is to have a VTX for 25/200mw ! It is really a big benefits for outdoors and freestyle. And wait one more thing: the caddx EOS 2 !

It is 37g (compared to 35g for the Sailfly-X) so it is still pretty light. Let's see in few days how it will be during a flight compared to the Sailfly-x !

I hope the same with every single interesting new quad, but usually nothing happens.

Doesn't look like much of an upgrade over the Sailfly to me.

Leaving aside how I feel about the EOS2 (I don't like it), didn't that camera mount have vibration problems on the Trashcan? Adjustable camera tilt is nice though.

So, the motors have an extra 200Kv (the Sailfly now comes with 8500Kv motors)? I'm sure that won't be noticeable.

The higher power VTx is nice but, 25mW isn't an issue for me, personally.

I'd like to see quads use the new RunCam 16mm width or Foxeer's new offering.

Yeah, if I did decide to buy one of these, I'd swap the EOS2 out for RunCam Racer Nano. But, the camera mount is still gonna be an issue, I think. Not to mention that the canopy leaves the board exposed from the sides. I can see a branch or something get in there and break of those motor connector sockets or worse. At least the Trashcan had a bit more protection with the rest of the frame.

There is already a Sailfly canopy for the EOS2 on Thingiverse, I'd prefer that. The camera angle is fixed though. But, I'm sure that someone will come up with an adjustable one. I know that there is already a range of Trashcan/Mobula canopies on Thingiverse.

I wish they'd use one of the new 12a esc boards in this one...
