What do you fly?

Are we allowed to talk about non-politics things here?

Let's talk about things we fly.

I mostly do electrics, aside my turbine. Got a helicopter I'm trying to learn, I can fly it about and land it but that's kind of it, no crazy flips yet.

This comes up once in a while and itís a great topic.

Large 3D gassers. Last one had a mid air and Iím out of a large bird now.

Also have a 3D Foamie and some small electrics for the backyard.

Also had a micro heli that was fun for buzzing around.

I havenít flown in a while now. Need to dust it all off and get back to it. Iíve been eyeing a DJI Mavic lately.

Have one of these and never got it in the air. three attempts ..landing gear was too weak. lost interest...it is hanging in a garage. Going to the swap meet in the fall to liquidate.

550mm blade electric heli's. They fly great on 1, 6S battery. I have 4 scale and 4 non-scale. Have not flown since moving back to Ohio a few months ago. Still windy and cold here..

450 sized electric helis, indoor helis, quads of all sizes (often FPV), electric planes of all sizes.

I started on 30 and 50 sized IC helis (before there were gyros), but now it's everything electric.

Just to confirm how nuts I am - I fly planes Mode 2, and quads and helis Mode 1.

turn, turn, turn.
Sailplanes...Winch launch...hand launch... electric.

Free flight.

For me, flying is like fishing on a catch and release basis.
I am constantly hunting for the core, and when I find it, I am happy... Then I leave it and go find another.
Very difficult… very satisfying.

Slope gliders whether it be foamies, composite PSS birds, composite wingerons or my favorite a Pike Precision 3 meter. I also enjoy different electrics like my UM Timber, anything with lights for nighttime, float planes on the lake and my 40" RiteWing Demon at 150mph.

Big helis just scare me.

I'd like to say I'm flying an Autel Evo video drone, but it does all the flying. All I do is give suggestions where to go and summon it home again.

Autel Evo: April Showers? 4k-60 fps (2 min 20 sec)

Multirotors of pretty much every configuration with the exception of bicopters. Mild interest in balsa and paper or film in the late 80s and early 90s. Got into large 2 and 4 string kites in the late 90s and early 2000s.
