Correct. We donít expect to have to defend ourselves from regulatory encroachment of our basic Civil Rights.

Donít worry though, weíll fix the problem-itís what Americans do.

Polling earlier this year suggests 67% of Americans want stricter gun laws. Included in this were 52% of those who mean Republican.

You guys worried about Shung shouldnít be. Iíve read his thread about it on another site (canít link here because adult language has been used there in the past *gasp*, and he had a problem in the past with someone here in this forum following him over there and causing problems for him.

He and other gun owners in his country are working hard, hopefully it pans out for them.

That's a pretty broad range, "stricter gun laws", from a populace who really doesn't know what laws are in the first place. I want stricter gun laws, in that penalties for illegal possession and crimes committed with a gun should be much more severe. That doesn't mean I want firearms taken away or restricted. That 67% doesn't mean squat.

Taking that figure then trying to use it to justify a particular course of action is disingenuous and dishonest. Not accusing you of that obviously since you don't have a bearing on American gun laws, I mean it in a general sense.

The masses didn't rise up and demand this, the EU economically blackmailed the citizenry into doing it.

Well, except for those Americans that started their standard gun-love mantra based on something that has nothing to do with them, it seems..
