finished up all the taping the other night, will get assembled pic as mentioned to give better overall look. spent today tinkering on semi-scale seats. not going crazy, just some resemblance. sealed them with finishing resin, will sand smooth before primer. guess will have to add a couple yokes/control sticks

working on self motivation pics. not professional photos but works. sun would come out and disappear as soon as I took a picture.

some tinkering this pm. shot the seats with some primer. sure helps their look. also got engine kill switch installed. using magneto G-26. picked up a slide switch, used a 4-40 servo arm connector attached to the slide switch along with inserting a 4-40 bolt inside cabin foot step vertical tube. the cabin foot step will push up or down to kill engine.

What a clever idea on hiding kill switch! I hate to see a toggle switch installed on side of fuselage area.

no real work over the weekend, family priorities. tinkered some tonight

worked on strut end attachment fittings. some 1" brass, notched to inset M4 bolts, soldered in place, smoothed out, drilled center of main wood struts and then sliced with bandsaw. fittings will be epoxied and pinned in the wood strut ends. The M4 bolts thread directly onto Carbon Cub strut fittings. pics of work.

been tinkering off and on, tedious task of creating strut mounts etc. still not done but here's where we are today.

got strut fittings epoxied in on wing mount end, pinned with screws. built strut fitting for main strut to fuselage. went with square tubing and filled the end with jb weld metal version. then drilled for 4-40 pin bolt. mounted up wings, leveled fuse, then took measurements for dihedral as well as main strut lengths. can't have enough tools, tape measure, digital level and Robart incidence meter. Ping Pong table final got some use. cut slot and recess in main strut ends after cutting to length. epoxied fabricated ends. will pin once epoxy dry. still have to come up with strut fitting for secondary wing strut end as fabricate jury struts. more to come. this is where I wish the kit had provided something more than just a balsa single main lift strut with cheesy plastic fittings and no jury struts even on plans. more fabricating to go.

quick 15-20 drop by the building table last night. started working on connections for Dubro 4-40 pull pull cable ends (change of scenery). also did quick add for semi scale detail - control sticks(3/16 aluminum rod and some balsa scraps). just need to work on mount in cabin floor.
