The noise is a fairly unavoidable side effect of converting dead dinosaurs into 43,000 lbs of thrust...

That F-35 rumbling noise was pretty awsome ... The A-10 was quiet in comparison, the only ones the came close noise-wise were the TB's

The model ... well it makes no difference 5bl, 13bl or 17bl it has absolutely no relationship to the sound of the real one

Think about the thrust increase over previous generation motors. The F15 had a Pratt the put out about 24000 lb of thrust. Now where at 43000lb in a simpler size powerplant. Noise is freedom.

Is The F-35 Worth $115 Million? (23 min 50 sec)

Went down late today.. swampy area. May never see it again. Time to put the high boots on tommorrow. Crashes are bad, but never seeing your jet again is the Worst!

I would have preferred the larger wingspan of the c variant, but I will admit that FW made a very nice model, and chose a good EDF with their efficient inrunner. Like how they made the tailerons solid, but IMHO they could have made a plastic cheesegrater part to cover the large cheater hole (in a German thread someone shortened the L-39 plastic part to fit the (slightly modded) cheater of the F-35 (he also modded for solid ball link linkages, taped the hinges, and painted servo covers and the rest, see here: http://www.rc-network.de/forum/showt...=1#post4874161)

At our club 4 planes went down in the same corner. Don't know, 5g maybe. Did find it today in very tall weeds. Just mashed the front of the fuse.

Flew twice this morning. Everything went well after putting the new wheel covers on fuselage.
When I crashed it on the first maiden because I had too touchy setup they were not in stock. Plane was a lot faster with them.

Cheers,

Jet doesn't look too pretty now after the crashes but at least I know more about it's limitations.

Need some help guys...

Haven't flown the F35 in a while so I took it out Saturday. Had some weird stuff happening in flight that I don't remember happening before and hoping y'all can help. When making 3/4 to full throttle passes, if you pull the power out to idle, the plane pitches up pretty hard. Somewhere around 30 degrees probably. It flies straight as an arrow under power, just pitches up when you go to zero throttle. Puzzled me and I need some help. Thanks!

That is strange

I commonly do low passes over the runway, full throttle, then shut off the throttle for the sound effect.

No pitch change whatsoever.
