Have a motor for it now I just need 800 700 clams. In the first video I think that's some of the most incredible air to air shot's I've ever seen!

I'm with you on the color scheme. I love the plane and could live with yellow and red together, I think.

I'd rather be flying!

Sorry I guess I misread it.

Joel, Yes I built converted it in 2012 and she's still going strong but don't fly her as much as I used to. This new Timber's a beaut but a little out of my price range. I'll have to be content with the 1.5m for the time being.

OK I have a Pegasus OS 320 and would like to know if the engine would fit inside the cowl? I have been waiting for something like this to come along for this engine.

Timber 110 pricing

I priced an electric version out at roughly $2100, including two sets of motor batteries, not including Tx or Rx.

I'm not sure where the $2000 comes from but it doesn't actually require anything that expensive. there are three final versions flying now, one with a big DLE55, one with a dle35 and one electric. there are 6380 servos in one, (only $24.95 ea), and i believe 6320's in the others. 9350 rx is in one, powersafe in another, and i forget in the third, it may be another 9350. talon 120 is ESC in electric and it's been flown with 12s/4000 30C packs up to 12s/7000's . All electrics have been flown with just BEC,.. no seperate rx pack, so if you prefer a seperate battery, that would of course add a few bucks to the total below. that's sort of a polarizing topic and I understand the reasoning some have for using separate batteries. however, we've had no issues with using BEC, and personally i prefer it because I don't have a separate battery to forget to charge Having flown them quite a lot during testing, if I were to assemble another one, but for myself, this is the exact config I'd use, except for batteries, as I have a ton of 6s 5000/5500 packs already and don't need to buy any more at this time.

timber 110 699.99 1 699.99
6380 servos 24.95 7 174.65
9350 rx 159.99 1 159.99
rimfire 170 179.99 1 179.99
talon 120 199.95 1 199.95
Kinexsys 6s/5000 89.99 2 179.98

total 1594.55

The rimfire 1.70 was developed specifically for the Timber 110. 12s and 20/10 is the best setup, 10s also very good, with 22X10 and high timing on ESC . i think the One at Nall right now is using an older Eflite power 180 . the rimfire 1.70 is same size/weight and similar KV.

Landings can be smooth wheel landings, one wheel slipped landings, smooth 3 point, or very short tailwheel first. It's really a pussycat on landings.

And I bet it would fly fine with 10 dollar servos. an Admiral rx for 50, and you could source appropriate motor and speed control for a LOT less, probably 200-250 which would knock the total to under 1250. Just sayin'

If you watch Ali and Pete's "On the Fly" videos, you'll know Pete Holey . He's an absolute magician with the FPV air-to-air video.
