Carlo, I'll tell you why I like AA's.
1. They are available everywhere.
like WalMart.
2. They can be used in more things than Sub-C's.
I can use them in my Tx and cameras.
3. They have the highest capacity (for NiCads and NiMH's) per ounce.

Fred: I don't really have enough flight time to know how well my parallel paks will perform. The weather here has been horrible.
My charger seems to be charging them fine.

At $60 I'll pass on the motor/controller. That's a little too close to the brushless ones coming on the market: Aveox's 26/xx series (~$100) and the Megas (~$85), etc. NE Sailplanes told me they'd be handling the new Aveox motors.

To all concerned: I actually really like my Voyager E. It is an excellent turnkey system right out of the box. Maybe a little bumpy upgrading.

But that is what is so nice about it! It flys out of the box OK, and there are many upgrades that others have wrung out already.

Pictures Please

How about you guys putting some CLOSE up pictures here of your VoyagerE.

I have one still in the Box from Christmas. I have the MG Servos and Carbon Frames sitting on the shelf also. Sounds like I need a Hacker, ESC, and some batteries. Than I should be good to go I hope. Can I start building without the Motor and ESC?

As you can see I am very patient. Actually, I don't have enough time is probably more like it.

Yes, you can build it and add any motor later.

The Mega motor may be an option here very soon. The combos are well under $200.

Alrighty than...

I figured I shouldn't start until my frames came in. Got them in January. I think I'm just scared!
