GASB Three

Hi,
after my previuos models GASB One and GASB Two, I would like show you my new design
This model is powered by a pusher motor with propeller. It accepts several motor, I suggest a Sunnysky X2216 2400kv. It is very cheap since it needs 750g of PLA, a very low cost motor and ESC. The speed of the model it very high. A key point of this model is that almost all the parts are fixed together by screws. This makes the assembly and disassembly of the model very easy and fast. In the event of a crash, repairs are very simple because no glue is used and being completely removable it is possible to print only the damaged part.
Installation manual available here

Here the video
GASB Three (6 min 24 sec)

...and here
GASB Three - recorded by Mavic Air (1 min 1 sec)

Particular attention has been paid to the seat of the screws in order to make the assembly very robust

In addition was provided 3mm carbon rods, to help to allign perfectly the parts avoiding mistake

Detail of the servo

The weight in order of flight is around 1200g

If you like my model support me
My supporters can download the GASB Three and all my contents even the future ones !!!

Reminds me of the Northern Pike from local fiend a bit. That one is a great flier.

This seems to be very user friendly designed. Shorter control rods than the pike wich is good. Your canopy lock system is very nice too.
I allways wanted to print a GSB Two but I want to hand launch. I might give this one a go once I am through with my current projects. Thanks a lot for sharing your great designs carletto.

This model is quite new so I've not made much experience yet. I don't like launch by hand since with catapult I'm more confidente and I can pilot better. In any case should be easier that GASB Two, that, with less thrust and more wing loading is frequently launched by hand. For example see this video or this.
I think also that can depend by the motorization. If you use a motor X2216 2400Kv with 1,8Kg thrust maybe should be easy

Hey Carletto.
I start to print Gasb three but could not find the last part of the body where you put the motor on and the servo covers.
Ver y cool was that you don't need glue. Very cool project.

Thx for that
