I've read lots of reviews and was just about to settle on the Fimi A3 but the battery cost and charging time have me second guessing. I don't get a lot of chances to fly so I tend to leave my batteries at full charge and at $40 each they would either not last very long staying fully charged or I'd have to always run them down to 50% and then have to wait an hour or 2 to get them fully charged to fly. Any suggestions appreciated. I've looked at Xiaomi Fimi A3, Husban Zino, SJRC F11 Pro, Eachine E511s, MJX Bugs 5 W.

Looking for something that:

1. Handles 10 mph wind
2. Control and FPV range 300m minimum (preferrably 500m or further)
3. Batteries less than $30 each
4. 1080 camera 2 way gimble would be preferrable

Xiaomi Fimi A3 - batteries are $40 - $50 each and take a long time to charge
Husban Zino - battery cost and charging time
SJRC F11 Pro - not sure about the quality. with 3 batteries around $250 Fimi with 3 batteries would run around $350 (kind of on high side of my budget)
Eachine E511S - low cost battery but can't handle wind
MJX Bugs 5W - Not sure about FPV control distance only looks to be about 200m

This is a good full size quad, with gimbal and 1080p camera. I actually have four of these. And, there is a true RF FPV set up available for it as well:

The X-380 has been around for a long time, and is a real work horse.

Otherwise, you can go with the BayangToys X-21, add a Walkera G-2D gimbal, whatever camera you choose and the same FPV system above.

But, the X-380 is still a better choice, due to it's battery size, longer flying time and greater flying range. The X-21 has a firmware enforced 400 ft ceiling and 1500 geo-fence.

One nice thing about the Bayang X-21 is that it has dual GPS and full telemetry display, all of you flight data is shown on the LCD of the controller.

Frankly, I'd be afraid of ANYTHING that was so blatant of a knock off. If they try to LOOK like a Mavic, it's because they want to make people THINK that it is like a Mavic. When in all reality, it probably couldn't be anything further. So, just imagine how much of their talk is just so many lies. Sorry, I just wouldn't buy this one. Not even with someone elses money. In fact, if you were to offer to GIVE it to me, I'd probably pass.

Study the specs very carefully. I believe you will find, without too much outside opinion, that you'd be better off with a different machine. However, if you want my somewhat informed opinion, this is just another Mavic 'wannabe' that is overpriced for what it offers.

Tell you what, tell us in this forum, exactly what it is that you want in a quadcopter, and we'll steer you in the right direction, starting with the lowest priced option first and go up from there.
