Great job on your videos Rob. Keep up the good work. Pity we can't get that fast gorilla d3 pva here.
This is my idea for the front retract. Will make bracket for steering servo etc before I glue it in. I'm going to use a gear door so need clearance |

Hello Stewart,
i see your front retract. That look´s like the HK metal Version with 6mm or 8mm pin. I have the same in a fast 120mm 7,5kg Sportjet. Also in the same direction as you - from the front to the back. But that is the death for this typ of retract. If you able to change the layout of the front retract - do it It is very stable and strong - if used in the correct direction. If you use it in the shown direction, the force from landings go straight to the gearaxle and will destroy the axle and the gear. Regards, George |

Good advice thanks Georg. I have one good eflite main retract and one broken front retract. I'll see if I can use the parts to make a good front retract.

It's really helpful to see your photos and progress Stewart! Thanks for sharing.
I went ahead and glued all three of the nose negative pieces inside the nose, my thoughts being that I would excavate foam from the solid piece, but it looks like your experience might have a better solution! Watching intently Rob |

New to this thread, but recently bought the 727-2100mm. This might sound like a stupid question, but are you using the filler to make it smooth first, or are fiberglassing it first then use the filler to smooth it out? The 727 should actually be arriving today! Can't wait to get started!

I fill and sand before applying fibreglass. I tend to get the bottom smooth and glass it then get the top smooth and glass it. If you try and get the whole thing smooth you keep putting dents in the side you aren't working on. I do a fine layer of glass at the end before painting. Hope that makes sense

Wow!! There are only 4 sheets! The only thing now, is how to look at the two sheets and figure out which numbers go on which sheet. Any ideas? I have red and green lines on mine. Are they those colors for a reason? Also, are there supposed to be instructions on which parts go with which? Or do we guess? These are all I received that you see.
Any help you can all give me, would be awesome! Thanks! L |

Hey Egor! Love this 727!
On my PDFs, the 2 that you had attached and sent via email, don't have numbers on the pages. The only numbers are for each part. |

these contours are different. you need to identify the details on the plan and on the sheet. it's simple Today we do everything in the same color so as not to be confused. and this is old pdf Good Luck BR Egor |
