I always prefer to fly all my helicopters with minimal head speed. It speed up after 3-4min. flight time to my ideal head speed, I normally fly this model 8-10 minutes on full tank.

After my recent replacement of stripped starting adapter it took only few more flights to strip down my starter shaft/wand!
I just can't believe I can't get the part in this country. Look like the IC models are becoming bit of the history.
Nevertheless, while in the local h/ware store store after my flying today I found this ideal set of ext. allens that will do the job after a minor mod.

Starter bearing

I had one that I wore out too. I found a replacement at BOCCA BEARING. I wore that one out too so I guess I'm going to give them another try. Hope this helps you and me because I've got 2 Minature Aircraft X-L 60 Customs with a ton of upgrades setting on my bench that I can't start. I haven't flown a 700 size heli but I bet they don't fly any smoother than these. I've got to hurry and get at least one of these going because I've got a Bell 222 fiber glass body to put on one.

What do you mean by starter bearing? Did you wear out/stripped the start shaft addaptor?
Do you use the anti-vibration upgrade bearing block or the original block bearing which has to be very accurately assembled to minimize motor shaft vibes.
These IC models are becoming bit of a history now days, hard to get anything in parts.
I had also nice "222" with 60 size Pro Mech. in it, I gave it away 6 years ago for 'peanuts' just to unload 50+ models when downsizing the house.
The bloke still hasn't flown it, it's probably seized by now!

starter bearing

I used the flexible starter ( wand ) with a one way bearing in the end that you would slide it over a 6 mm shaft and start it like that. I'm guessing this isn't what you use. I'm sorry if I misled you but if you do use that now you know where to get one of those bearings.

I can't imagine using flex start wand on my model where I need some 25cm extension.
While flying today at my home Club I have used for the first time my modified made up Allen key shaft, for a change it kicked on first turn. Hope it will last!
