My new scratch built indoor / park flyer - Tupolev ANT-20


Hi gang,

While it's more of a parkflyer, I built this with the intention of flying it at the upcoming indoor in Chilliwack. She's got a 64" wingspan and a 20 oz AUW for a modest 5.8 oz wing loading. Check out this thread for more details and some flying pics / video:

It was the music in the video that brought it all back. I remember seeing a documentary on public television about this airplane. What a big airplane it was for its time. One film clip showed an overhead flyby with the little biplanes off each wing tip. Very memorable.
Great work on that model. The build sequence pictures are a nice touch.
